The San Francisco Bay Area has numerous ways to travel into San Francisco from other parts of the Bay Area. One of the most beautiful and exhilarating is to take the ferry, especially on a gorgeous and warm sunny day. This image was captured on a return trip from San Francisco leaving the city. I was struck by the curve of the boats wake leading the eye back to the city and the Bay Bridge as it cuts through the blue-green waters of the San Francisco Bay. If you look closely the Golden Gate Bridge is visible under the span of the visible west side of the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge that connects Yerba Buena Island to San Francisco.
