These two seagulls were engaged in quite the battle on the rooftop of one of the buildings at the San Francisco Zoo. I've never witnessed birds fighting like this. It went on for at least 10 minutes with each gull trying very hard to injure the other one. The third gull in this photograph was clearly very upset with the two fighting gulls. S/he was constantly screaming at the two that were fighting and would occasionally try to assist one of the gulls by biting the back of the other gull.
