If you've ever wondered where hummingbirds make their nests, it seems that they make them anywhere that feels safe to them and offers them protection from the elements. This hummingbird nest sits atop a funky 70's-ish wind chime (a very creative and funky metal butterfly with a vertical insect body and horizontal butterfly wings) that hangs under the protection of the roof of the home where the wind chime is located. Two little baby hummingbird beaks can be seen peaking up from the nest waiting for their mother hummingbird to return to feed their hungry tummies. I particularly love the lichen that decorates the exterior of the hummingbird's nest and just adds to the artistry of the image.
