A large cluster of Monarch Butterflies gathered together in one of the trees of the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Pacific Grove, California. Seeing the butterflies clustered as they do in the wintertime like this is, to me, such a joyful and wonderful sight. At the time that this photo was taken there were literally thousands of the butterflies gathered and hanging out and, in a sense, having a Monarch Butterfly party!
