Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I came across this lovely majestic California sequoia redwood tree as I was hiking in Mount Lassen National Park. The early morning sunlight lit up the leaves of the tree and the moss that decorated the twisting reddish-colored bark. You can see that this particular giant had suffered a broken branch a little ways up the trunk which creates an interesting twisting texture and a beautiful visual when looking up the trunk of this tree towards the beautiful blue sky above.
