The Super Moon of November 14, 2016 within about an hour of perigee (the moment when the moon is closest to the earth). This particular super moon was the closest the Moon has been to earth in almost 70 years and was quite a spectacular site. This photo was taken in Yosemite National Park. What was wonderful and amazing is how much additional light a super moon gives off. Driving through the wilderness on this night was a truly special moment as the moon lit the forest with about 15% more light than one would see with a normal full moon. It was definitely much bigger to behold with the naked eye and quite magical in many ways.
